Serving as the 2026-27 VFW Auxiliary Department of Nevada President is both an honor and a privilege. My commitment to the VFW Auxiliary is rooted in a deep respect for our nation's veterans, service members, and military families. Through service, leadership, and community engagement, I strive to uphold the Auxiliary's mission of supporting those who have sacrificed for our freedom while fostering patriotism and volunteerism throughout Nevada.

Throughout my journey with the VFW Auxiliary, I have been inspired by the dedication of our members and the positive impact they make every day. From supporting veterans and military families to promoting youth programs, scholarships, and community service initiatives, I believe that every act of service strengthens both our organization and the communities we serve.

As Department President, my goals are to encourage membership growth, develop future leaders, strengthen communication among Nevada Auxiliaries, and expand opportunities for meaningful service. I am passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive environment where members feel valued, empowered, and connected to our shared mission.

I firmly believe that the strength of the VFW Auxiliary lies in the compassion, commitment, and teamwork of its members. Together, we honor the legacy of those who have served, support those who continue to serve, and ensure that future generations understand the value of patriotism and civic responsibility.

I am proud to serve alongside Nevada's dedicated Auxiliary members and look forward to continuing our work in making a lasting difference for veterans, military families, and our communities.

For my Special Project as VFW Auxiliary Department of Nevada President, I have chosen to support Elko National Cemetery, the first national cemetery in the State of Nevada. This historic and meaningful project represents a lasting tribute to the men and women who have served our country and ensures that veterans and their families have a place of honor and remembrance close to home.

Currently under development by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Elko National Cemetery is expected to open in Fall 2026. Once completed, the cemetery will provide free burial services for eligible veterans, their spouses, and dependent children, significantly improving access to VA burial benefits for veterans and families throughout northeastern Nevada and surrounding rural communities.

Through the generosity and dedication of VFW Auxiliary members, community partners, and supporters, we can help enhance the beauty and dignity of this sacred place. Contributions to this project will support various beautification efforts, helping to create a peaceful, welcoming, and respectful environment for veterans, their loved ones, and future visitors. These efforts may include landscaping enhancements, memorial features, volunteer projects, and other improvements that honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's heroes.

By supporting Elko National Cemetery, we are investing in a lasting legacy of remembrance, respect, and gratitude. Together, we can help ensure that Nevada's first national cemetery reflects the honor and dignity that our veterans have earned through their service to our country.
